Submission Process
- Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the registration platform on the official Congress website, no hardcopy is required.
- Please register and submit your abstract/s with or without payment.
- Please read the instructions carefully, as abstract submitted not according to these instructions will not be accepted. You may submit more than ONE abstract (please use the same email address).
- Abstracts must be submitted by 15 May 2024 @ 23:59 hrs (GMT+8). Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Your abstract will appear in print or electronically as submitted. Please ensure you check your data carefully before submitting.
- The presenting author will be the sole corresponding author accepted by the Congress and the primary one responsible for the contents of the study and will be deemed to have taken consent from all the co-authors of the study.
- All Presenting Authors will receive detailed presentation guidelines when their abstract has been accepted and closer to the Congress date.
- Upon successfully submitting your abstract, you will receive an acknowledgement email.
- All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by a panel of expert reviewers. Accepted abstracts will be selected for either oral or/and e-poster presentation. Oral presenters are required to submit the e-Poster as well. The oral presentation can be delivered in-person ONLY. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to re-categorise any accepted abstract. The decision of the committee is final and irrevocable.
- Notification of acceptance will be sent via email no later than 1 July 2024.
- Presenting Authors will receive detailed presentation guidelines via email.
- After the submission deadline, no correction/s to the abstract will be entertained.
- Judges’ decisions are final. No appeal will be entertained.
- All accepted abstracts will be incorporated into the Congress Programme book.

Category: Please select the category which BEST describes the content of your abstract. Categories are used for reviewing and indexing purposes.
Abstract Format
Abstract Title:
ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS. The title is limited to 200 characters excluding spaces and should be brief and relevant. Special characters should NOT be used in your title but spelt out instead (e.g. α should be written as alpha, β as beta). Only use standard abbreviations in the title.
Authors and Affiliations:
The first author listed must be the Presenting/Attending Author. Type the authors’ names in (first name - last name/surname) surname-last format and capitalised the first letter of each name; according to the format and example given. Authors’ affiliation should contain the name of institution, city and country. When more than one author is listed, use numbers (no need superscript) to match authors and institutions. Capitalise words only as required.
Abstract body:
- Structure: The abstract should have the following sub-headings: –
- Introduction
- Methodology
- Results
- Conclusions
- Layout: Please fill in according to the sections provided. Do not include graphs, tables or illustrations in the abstract.
- Word count: The abstract body is limited to a total of 300 words.
- Only commonly accepted abbreviations should be used (e.g. OGTT, IGT, ACEI). Less widely recognised abbreviations may be used if introduced on first usage (e.g. ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, ABPM).
- Only approved and generic (non-proprietary) drug names should be used.
- Do NOT enter the title, authors, or grant information into the abstract body submission field.
Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as it will be produced in the abstract/programme book exactly as submitted.
SCORE
Marks given for each abstract will be according to the following scheme:
- Originality - Idea/Innovation
- Objectives of the study/Research questions: Relevance to clinical practice
- Methodology
- Presentation of the results: Does it answer the research questions?
- Conclusion: Appropriateness and relevance
- Language and presentation
