Dr Wan Zul Haikal Hafiz is an Interventional Nephrologist and Coordinator of the Public and Corporate Relation Division at Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah UPM, Malaysia. With a passion for healing and patient care, Dr Haikal has dedicated his life to the study and practice of interventional nephrology. Dr Haikal received his medical degree from the prestigious Universiti Malaya in 2008, and later completed his master in internal medicine at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2016. He then pursued his nephrology fellowship training at Hospital Serdang and Selayang, where he gained invaluable experience in diagnosing and treating various kidney-related diseases. His dedication to interventional nephrology led him to complete fellowship training at King Faisal Hospital and Research Centre, Saudi Arabia, specializing in minimally invasive procedures that minimize patient discomfort and hasten recovery times. He has honed his skills in various interventional procedures, including dialysis access management, such as angioplasty, thrombectomy, and stenting. He is committed to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of interventional nephrology through research and education. His unwavering dedication to his patients and his profession make him a standout in the medical community.
