Dr Benjamin Tan is a nephrologist currently based in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu. He graduated from the National University of Ireland in 2009, attained membership of the Royal College of Physician United Kingdom in 2014 and completed a fellowship in nephrology in 2020 under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. He then went on to train in kidney supportive care in Melbourne, Australia in 2022. He also completed a fellowship in glomerular disease. His main interest is in the area of CKD prevention and management, glomerular disease, dialysis, kidney transplantation and kidney supportive care. He is passionate in the area of clinical research, teaching and is involved in conducting clinical trials. He is also an instructor as well as education committee member of GlomCon, a global network and initiative, dedicated to promoting international exchanges and collaborations in the area of glomerular kidney disease.
