Associate Prof. Dr. Shanggar Kuppusamy is an esteemed senior consultant urologist and an academician working at the University Malaya Medical Centre since 2005. He holds a doctoral degree (PhD) from the University of The West of England, Bristol, UK and is a board-certified Urologist in Malaysia after attaining the FRCS Urology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow, UK. He is currently the Head of the department of surgery at University Malaya and University Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. He is an active trainer in urology under the Malaysian Board of Urology and play an important role in teaching and assessments for all the trainees. He has special interest in uro-oncology and renal transplant surgery and has obtained various awards and achieved numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
