Dr Wan Syamir Zharif, a Kedahan obtained his medical degree from the University College of Dublin in 2010 and furthered his qualifications by achieving membership of the Royal College of Ireland in 2015. Dr. Wan completed his nephrology training in 2022 and has since been appointed as a nephrologist at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II and Hospital Pasir Mas in Kelantan before finally being assigned to Hospital Tuanku Fauziah in February 2023.Dr Wan's commitment to improving nephrology services in Perlis is evident through his role as the first and only nephrologist for the state. He has successfully established new nephrology services and actively participates in state-level and national-level programs, including the East Coast Nephrology Conference and the 1st International Acute Medical Conference 2023. His dedication to enhancing the quality of healthcare in Perlis showcases his passion for elevating the standard of care and contributing to the advancement of healthcare services in the region.
