Dr. Lydia Kamaruzaman is a senior medical lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), concurrently serving as a consultant nephrologist at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. Graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom in 2008, she embarked on her medical journey at Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah, Muar, Johor, before specializing in nephrology, completing her fellowship in 2020. With a profound focus on chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, and kidney transplantation, Dr. Lydia has actively engaged in numerous industry-sponsored research projects, notably in IgA nephropathy, CKD/SGLT2i trials and investigator-initiated research endeavors. Her scholarly contributions extend to multiple peer-reviewed journal publications, where she has authored and co-authored several papers. Additionally, her expertise is sought after as a manuscript reviewer for various journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing medical knowledge. Dr. Lydia has been a featured speaker at numerous local and international events and nephrology conferences, sharing insights and advancements in her field. Notably, she holds leadership roles, currently chairing the Malaysian Society of Nephrology - Young Nephrologist Committee (MSN-YNC) and a member of the Asian Pacific Congress of Nephrology Youth Committee (APSN-YNC).
